Welcome back after the Christmas holidays! This cold snap is not surprising, but still not much fun. Just as a reminder, if the temperature including the wind chill is –40 or below, the buses do not run. Even when buses do not run, school is still open and classes are in session. If it is safe for students to get to school, they are still expected to attend.
Exams begin January 27th. If you find conflicts with your child’s schedule, please contact the office at the school. In preparation for final exams, students should be preparing for exams by studying each night, eating a healthy diet, getting adequate sleep, and planning break times in their study schedule.
Lastly, there have been many illnesses circulating around the community and the school. Our school participates in collecting information to share with Public Health regarding influenza rates. When you call the school to let us know your child is absent, please let the office know if it is related to illness.
Come out this weekend to watch the Senior Boys Basketball tournament and cheer on our Blazers!
Have a great weekend,
Kim Fick
