principal's message, BCS2000, november |
The warm temperatures this week have had our elementary students excited to head out on the playground each day! Let’s hope it continues for a little while before we settle into our deep freeze.
Today all children in Grades 1-9 and 12 will be bringing home a paper version of the report card. We have had some bumps in the road with our new program but think that most of them have been figured out. If you have any questions or think that there is an error or on your child’s report card, please contact the office.
Our Book Fair that we hosted last week was an awesome success. Thanks To Ms. Egert for all of her work getting it up and running and to our parent and community volunteers who helped out. Thanks to everyone’s support we had sales of just over $3700 which means we have about $1500 to spend on new books for our classrooms and library.
Next week students in Grades 4-12 will be participating in the Our School Survey. You may recall that the this is an anonymous survey where we collect feedback from our students on how they feel the school is meet-ing their academic needs, sense of belonging, safety, among other things. We use this information to see what we are doing well and where we need to improve.
And finally, Blazer Wear will be available for purchase. We are trying something new this year and are doing our orders online, giving families a lot more options for styles and sizes. See information further in the news-letter and watch for more information to be sent home next week.
Have a great weekend!
